NILES is fundamentally distinct. All-purpose AI tools are designed to provide you with an answer or solve a problem, creating dependency on the AI tool for thinking. NILELS won’t solve problems for you, but will help you gain a better understanding of yourself and others.

What is "neurointelligence"?

Neurointelligence is how NeuroLeadership Institute defines the body of knowledge and specific training that has been used to develop NILES. It’s a filter that sits between major LLMs and the NILES.

Asa knowledge base, NILES understands the world of work, management, leadership, and how the human brain gets things done; it intuitively blends brain processes with leadership models, performance, and how humans learn best to coach more effectively.

Asa process, NILES has been trained to interact with users in a way that best suits the brain’s needs for processing information, solving problems, taking action, and building habits. What is NILES’s knowledge base?

NILES draws 26 years of R&D at NeuroLeadership Institute, proprietary research not available to general LLMs. Where it doesn't have relevant content, it can draw from large LLMs, with answers filtering through NILES's layers of neurointelligence before sharing.

Explain the different modes of NILES?

NILES fluently moves through four modes: Coaching, advice, feedback, or role play. It will ask users what they prefer at the start of any conversation.

  • Coach Mode asks powerful questions that activate metacognition (thinking about your thinking) to lead you to insight.
  • Advice Mode provides neuroscience-based guidance for any question.

Yes, NILES is cross-device compatible.

Yes, NILES is fluent in 40+ languages.

Is NILES available in other voices/accents/genders?

Yes, multiple voices/accents are available. Currently, it is available as male or female gendered, with accents being either Australian, English, American, or Indian. These will expand in time and can be customized as needed.

Does NILES remember information about the user over time?

Yes, NILES has long-term memory within your profile. Over time, it builds a profile of your brain to help you get smarter, as well as to interact with you in ways you prefer.

What is the best way to use NILES?

NILES is a thinking tool to help you get smarter, faster. Any time you feel yourself stuck at an “impasse” (a problem you’ve tried to solve more than three times), try a conversation with NILES.

Since NILES understands the human brain, the world of work, leadership, and how humans learn best, you can use it to unpack any goal you might have. It’s especially adept at navigating interpersonal challenges.

What are some non-obvious but clever ways to use NILES?

You can use NILES to deliver a higher quality of work across management, marketing, sales, and communications. Use it to brainstorm your ideas and get constructive feedback in real-time.

NILES can help build your AI Fluency while in the flow of work, getting its input and guidance on how to vibe code, or how to leverage other AI tools (including NILES itself) for your highest performance.

Have NILES listen to a presentation or meeting you run, and afterward, have it identify your strengths and areas for improvement.

Can I upload files to NILES?

Not yet, but document upload is in development. When using Chat Mode, you can upload text and ask for NILES to give you feedback or help you refine your message. Since you can toggle between Voice Mode and Chat Mode seamlessly, this feedback doesn't have to interrupt a conversation in flow.

How do you ensure NILES isn't creating any bias?

NILES actively assesses all user input and filters its responses through The SEEDS Model®, NeuroLeadership Institute's proprietary bias mitigation framework. This critical guardrail is part of the comprehensive user safety infrastructure on which NILES is built.

Is NILES going to be another sycophantic AI and just agree with my ideas?

NILES is trained to challenge your thinking, not to agree with everything. It is also trained to recognize cognitive bias and call it out. You can ask NILES to be more kind, or more challenging, depending on your preference.

NILES is not an ideal tool for every company. If you are looking for a generic sounding board or an answering tool that does not stretch and grow its users, it may not be a fit. How do you help people use NILES?

Does NILES train on our users' and/or organization's Data?

No. All data between users and organizations is protected.

Can managers view their teams' conversations, strengths, and weaknesses?

No. Conversation data remains private to the user to protect psychological safety. Organizations and Neuroleadership Institute cannot access transcripts or user data from NILES.

What data will our talent team receive?

Client administrators are able to see an aggregate of themes across conversations. Your NeuroLeadership Institute client team also partners with you to assess and report behavior change insights.

Is NILES a replacement for human coaches?

NILES is not a replacement for human coaches. NILES can scale highly impactful coaching support to all users, but an effective talent & performance strategy comprises both human coaches and NILES.
